The system monitors designated inboxes or folders, automatically identifies incoming files, and categorizes them by document type. In the example shown, the tool successfully detects packing slips and vendor invoices, extracts key information such as purchase order numbers, and routes documents to the correct workflows.

For packing slips, the AI links each slip to its associated purchase order and archives it automatically. For vendor invoices, the system can recognize when a single PDF contains multiple invoices and accurately split them into separate documents, even when they look similar. Once processed, invoices are routed into Datahaven’s AP automation tool for further handling.

The video highlights that the AI engine supports a wide range of document types beyond packing slips and invoices, including certificates of analysis, spec sheets, and other support documents, streamlining document management across the entire organization.
